We offer a stressless slow boat tour to Luang Prabang.

In our two day tour, embark on a traditional Laos style riverboat and cruise through the Mekong river. Enjoy a relaxing downstream on the tenth longest river of the world. See the spectacular Laos landscape as well as seeing the life along the river.

Trip Plan:

​

Day 1:

Our minivan picks you up - between 14.00 - 14.30 - at our office (it is possible to leave your luggage in our office). After a two hour drive, you arrive Chiang Khong and check-in at CHOM KHONG GUEST HOUSE. A simple clean guest house with bathroom and ventilator in every room is waiting for you. The guest house has a small restaurant with a river view.

 

Day2:

The day after, you get to enjoy breakfast at 7 am with a panoramic view of the river. Around 08.00 am you get driven through immigration at Chiang Khong Friendship Bridge. After you get your visa, a taxi drives you to the slow boat pier in Houixay. At 10.00 am the slow boat leaves and your boat cruise starts. Food and beverages are available onboard. At about 16.00 pm you arrive in Pakbang, where you stay overnight. Here you must find accommodation by yourself.

Day3:

At 07.00 am your second day of the river cruising starts. Enjoy another beautiful cruising day on the Mekong river before you reach Luang Prabang at about 16.00 pm.

• Transfer from Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong in an air-conditioned minivan or car

• One night in Chom Khong Guest House + breakfast

• Slow boat ticket
